There are so many pho restaurants in this city, yet Pho Danh has prospered magnificently. Their secret? They have a clean restaurant.
The pho here is okay. Not good, not bad, but okay. The broth tastes clean, the noodles are a little clumped (like everyone else), and their bowls large. The beef broth tastes like it has a lot more pepper than other places, but nothing too distracting. Judy, my sister, enjoys their egg noodle that comes with the broth on the side.
I have no idea what to write about this place other than that it's a good easy place to meet someone for lunch and not be disappointed--or impressed for that matter.

I was visiting Houston during Summer06 and ate Pho at a restuarant closest to the food court of the Bellaire Hong Kong Mall. It tasted so terrible that I stopped eating halfway. I wished I ate at Pho Danh 2 in that mall. Even though it's far from the rest of the food area, I can at least finish my bowl. - Hanh

You need to try Pho at Pho Ve Dem by Synott and Bellaire. Open from 3 PM to 2 AM daily.

I always heard people said pho danh is great, but when i came to eat its pho, its tase the same to other restauratns. Before I left, I put 2 dollars tip, the waiter told me don't tip because the owner of Pho Danh take it all and he only earned 5.15 per hours. It's terrible how can Pho Danh owner doing that?? and Also heard that the owner now has at least 10 million dollars cash due to under report its income and therefore under paid sale taxes.

Pho Ve Dem is good but the store is too small .Alot of people go there but tired of the long waiting line so they left. I think they should do some upgrade to make it bigger so it less waiting time. I heard that pho danh owner very harshment the employee..They don't let the waiter or waitress get the tip . THey paid by salary i think if you work there from 9-8 they paid you like 50 bucks a day....
